Margarita del Sol overlooks the Caribbean Sea. It is 7 kilometers south of the village of Mahahual, located in the Costa Maya region of southern Quintana Roo, Mexico, about 1.5 hours from Chetumal and 4 hours from Cancun.

From Cancun:
Take highway 307 south from Cancun. You will pass through Playa del Carmen and Tulum.
Felipe Carrillo Puerto is a good place to refuel with gas and food. Several restaurants and two Pemex gas stations will satisfy your needs.
Just a few kilometers past Limones, watch for the road to Mahahual on the left.
Just before the lighthouse, take a right turn and drive 7 kilometers.
